GENERAL RULES (español, português)

1. Respect Each Other: No fighting or otherwise abusive/unsafe misconduct.
2. Respect our Fieldhouse:  No spitting, no hanging on nets/goals, no balls at ceiling, no balls off the field.
3. Care for our Field: No food/snacks, gum-chewing, sport-drinks, glass on field.  Water only.
4. Clean Your Shoes Outside:  Playing shoes are cleaned outside of the Fieldhouse.
5. Be On-Time:  Prompt entry and exit from field to be considerate of programs before and after.
6. Clean Up for Next Customer:  Ensure field is clean. Take away everything you brought (equipment, empty bottles).

Why we ask you to not have gum.

For the first time in 13 years, I had to cut gum out from our field. If a player does arrive chewing gum, we ask that they just put it in one of the two small pails (Gum Here/Chiclas Aqui) located on our sidelines.

Why 💦 water-only on our field

I found this one week after our new field was installed. We do not have the outdoor weather to clean things. When they invariably spill onto the field, they stay until we find them and the clean/disinfect. A clean, safe, bright field is all we have – and this defeats it.

Why we ask you to clean your shoes outside

Our field is great for cleats. As you transition from outdoor to indoor play, your cleats may have dried mud from the last time you played outside. Please check and clank them outside if needed.

Why we ask you to avoid balls in our ceiling

All events are cancelled for player safety until the ceiling is repaired. It is a considerable effort to both protect our field and rent the lift equipment needed.

Takes a Village

A Group Effort

Over the past dozen years, I always thought our rules were so simple. Well, they are. But simple doesn’t mean easy.

People chew gum and drink Gatorade-type stuff everywhere. Just not on our field. And it is easy for one person to forget … which can become hard for someone else to politely remind them.

I get it. I always thought it was someone not caring too much. But I realize it is actually all about a group wanting to play here, reminding each other, and knowing that they’re in it together. It’s a group effort, not an individual one. The field should be pristine when you arrive, and pristine when you leave. If it ever isn’t, please let me know.

For me, where a group has repeated issues caring for our field, we’ll refund all their future sessions so they can play elsewhere.
